I hope this is ok to post here but i dont know anyone else to ask in real life!

I am ill at the moment and stuck in bed so i thought it would be fun to open the curtains and stare out a bit to see if i can see any of these lights etc. I have flightradar24 but im not sure how to marry up flights etc to planes so for example i took this video of what i assume is a star and a plane going past but when i go on flight radar there are no planes over me - how far away can you see plane lights? This would be over the sea i live right on the coast if that helps.
