Description
Here’s a video of someone automatically tracking planes and balloons (with rapid movement) through a telescope. Imagine doing that while observing the skies over the UK military base.
First, I want to say that I feel like a kid in a toy store when it comes to these things. It looks easy, but I have no idea what it takes, let alone the risk of losing an expensive piece of equipment.
I’m talking about telescopes, automated GoTo-tracking systems, high-powered infrared beamers, light filters, and so on—tools that are available to, and owned by, UK civilians.
I’m sure the US/UK military is already fully informed and has a clear visual representation of even the tiniest details of the 'drones' hovering around out there.
We all appreciate YouTuber Liberty Wing UK for his dedication in going live and showing us that there’s still activity happening near the military base. However, the man’s resources are limited—he was freezing his marbles off, mentioned that one of his cameras had broken earlyer, and at the end of his livestream, he reminded us that he also has a personal life to attend to. Understandable, and still very much appreciated.
Back to the equipment. I’ve seen how very expensive tools can be combined and optimized to take incredibly clear pictures, even of objects in motion (thanks to GoTo-tracking). But in this scenario, where Liberty Wing is stationed, the scenario is fixed! Considering light pollution, clouds, and other variables, I believe there must be a specific approach to get the best possible image of the object of interest since we know where and what to expect now.
UK amateur and professional photographers, astronomers, and enthusiasts watching these events could unite and brainstorm a approach to bring out their best lenses and tools to truly zoom in on what’s happening.
If you're based in the UK and have equipment—whether it's telescopes, cameras, infrared devices, or tracking systems—and want to contribute to capturing footage of UAP activity near military bases, feel free to share your socials in the comments of this thread. This is a great opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, collaborate, and pool resources to document these phenomena with greater precision. Together, we can achieve clearer, more compelling results.
