Description

On July 31, 1965, dozens of residents of Pelluco, Chile, claimed to have witnessed the landing of a large object in a wooded area of the town. The alleged landing site showed signs of missing soil, circular in shape and one meter deep. The case description mentions the arrival, several days after the event, of a U.S. scientific commission, which “preliminarily concluded that the surface exhibited characteristics consistent with a uplift produced by an intense energy field.”
