Description

I’m a Law Enforcement officer and this is what I saw while working off duty at a Bibliotech Library in San Antonio, Texas on 05/05/2023 at 1850 Hrs. I walked outside to check the perimeter of the property as a part of my duties and saw a plane on approach to San Antonio International Airport. The airplane had its landing gear and flaps extended and was at about 3,500 to 4,000 feet AGL flying South to North.

The Bibliotech is located at 626 N. Flores St. San Antonio, TX and about 8-9 miles from the San Antonio International Airport. As the plane flew over my location I noticed something high in the air hovering in one spot. As the plane passed it I noticed the object twisting and tumbling in the air but remained in its position at about 10,000 to 15,000 feet. I get this estimation based off how high it was above the plane that was on approach to San Antonio International.

I watched the object for a few minutes before I started recording it as I realized it was not being pushed by wind or any meteorological conditions and didn’t appear to have any type of rigid structure. I recorded the object for about 1min then went inside the Bibliotech library and told staff what I was seeing. Several staff members come out side and we watched the object morph and change colors for about another minute before it disappeared. Total observation time based off video timestamps from the videos is about 11 minutes. I’ve reported this to MUFON and received case #137286.

I don’t believe this object to be balloons because it remained stationary and hovered in position while morphing instead of drifting with the air currents. If you have videos of something similar please respond with links. Thank you
