Description
Knowing that the Office of Global Access (OGA) under the CIA (Directorate of Science and Technology) DS/T is currently in charge of the crash retrieval operation to at least some degree, I began looking backwards in CIA records to see if there was anything pointing to another office that could have run these operations before OGA was stood up in 2003.
The Office of Special Activities is also under the DS/T and according to this briefing document from the 1960s, may have been the place that retrievals were run out of before OGA.
