This video is not mine, however, I searched “October 17 2023 ufo sacramento” on google and found someone posted this video taken at 7:11pm, precisely the time I saw it.

I was walking to my car last night and noticed a very significant star-like object in the sky that appeared as if it were behind mist or fog. I was a little struck by this object because all the stars in the sky were crystal clear, and there was no overcast at all. The object then started to fizzle out of existence, sort of like turning down the transparency or translucency slider in photoshop. It was very significant to witness this and I saw it only for about 20 seconds, then sat in my car for about 30 minutes waiting to see if it would come back.

The video shows the object moving to the left in the video, which I could notice notice since I was walking while staring at it, and there were trees and structures in view below it. Also, I may have had a different vantage point that the person who took this video.

The object was almost due East and I saw it from Bruceville and HWY 99 in south Sacramento, CA.

Does anyone have any ideas on what this object could have been?

My only ideas other than a ufo would be a Space-X rocket, which I know was launched at 5:39pm PST (92 minutes before this sighting). I know they launch every 3 or 4 days but I’ve never seen one. They also look much different according to videos that I’ve seen. I thought possibly it could be blasting it’s engine up there in space?

I’ve heard someone say it’s a white flare, but the object was stationary, then moving horizontally left, then becoming stationary again. To me, would not describe a flare.

I’ve considered the ISS, however, I’ve seen it multiple times and it moves quite fast. Like I said, this was stationary and also was about 25 degrees estimated up in the sky.

Would love to hear your guys’ thoughts on this or if anyone else saw this thing.
