Description
I recently acquired this bizarre collection of UFO related ephemera and publications dated from the mid-1960s. I'm still trying to go through it and see if I can make sense of it. It appears to have come from the estate of a UFO researcher named Irma Farris, but it also contains what appear to be original typescripts by John G. Fuller, author of *Incident at Exeter* and *The Interrupted Journey*. In fact most of them seem to be typescripts of excerpts from his books that were submitted to various periodicals. I'm thinking that Fuller and Farris were corresponding and that he was sharing some of his material with her. In fact it appears that Irma was part of a group of UFO enthusiasts and correspondents that were sharing articles, clippings, periodicals by mail.
There are copies of several periodicals like Life and Look with UFO articles, including one by a John Lear -- I don't think it's the well-known John Lear as he would have been in his twenties at this point and didn't start talking about UFOs until the 1980s.
Edit: Found a letter from Irma attached to one of the clippings with her address in Cape Cod. Much of the correspondence is with other people in New England, so it makes sense that she was a prominent part of the UFO community in that area, and that would explain the connection with John G. Fuller, who was also based in that area.
