Ocam Razor:
"problem-solving principle that recommends searching for explanations constructed with the smallest possible set of elements" -from Wikipedia.
That is an argument I've heard from UAP skeptics when discussing these matters. Something in the vein of:
"For UAP existence, we have to assume there exists extra-human intelligence, and that they are here right now. That is more complex than assuming there isn't extra-human intelligence, and therefore it's more probable that they aren't here."
I've been thinking about how the Ocam's Razor principle interacts with the Fermi Paradox.
The Fermi paradox invites to question why is it that we don't see otherworldly life if it seems so probable to exist.
The point I'm making is: It is indeed much more likely for extra-human intelligence to exist and visits us, like the Fermi paradox induces, and like the image shows. UAP are that visitation we should be observing.
Therefore it is MORE PROBABLE that the Fermi Paradox is not violated in our situation, meaning that is MORE simple to assume they are here than to assume that UAP are completely separated from extra-human intelligence.
TL;DR: Embracing simpler explanations, it is more likely that the Fermi Paradox is not "violated", implying that UAP involves extraterrestrial intelligence, rather than assuming they are completely unrelated.
