With an initial speed of 0 mph, accelerating at an average of 5.47g, the "thing" would be traveling at 7,199.67 mph after 1 minute of travel:

For comparison, it takes the SR-71 Blackbird 12 minutes to reach 2,200 mph. Based on the above calculations, we can surmise that it only takes the Tic Tac 18.3 seconds to reach the same speed.
