Thought it might be a neat experiment to render a physically accurate image of the UAP's Graves and others witnessed in the Atlantic.

I say physically, because this renderer uses physically accurate lighting and surfaces.
The sphere here is 396cm(which does have an impact on light transference), and has a solid transparent volume around the cube. It is lit with an HDR image which has real world luminance values stored.
The interesting thing about it, is that I had to adjust the IOR(index of refraction) from the typical 1.5 we see with glass. I did this because being inside a translucent volume caused severe distortion of the cube shape, you could not tell it was a cube. Only when I lowered the IOR to about 1.1, which is the IOR of metal, was the cube clearly visible as Grave's described.
