Description

I recorded this from 10 miles to the East. You can see downtown San Diego as well as the lights of Coronado Bridge.

This was first noticed around 9:40. Almost immediately you can see a few “blink” on. They hovered for 15 minutes then disappeared by “blinking” off returned about 5 minutes later for another several minutes. The incident lasted about 20 minutes but I did not witness the start.

There were dozen or so, glowing orange. Apparently these were visible from witnesses 20 miles to the North and 30 miles East.

North Island Naval air station, and Naval Base Point Loma, home to Nimitz Carrier group are also located just beneath the anomaly.

Could be a parachute flare but those usually slowly drift down, leave smoke.
