"Mulder, you're crazy."

I recently rewatched a few episodes of THE X FILES (I know, but hear me out) and I noticed some very exciting moments that reminded me of current developments. Somehow almost a sense of Déjà vu, you could say. Let's remember that, for example, this particular episode aired for the first time on September 12, 1994. That's right, almost 30 years ago. Roughly three years after the end of the Cold War, ten years before the Nimitz encounters in 2004. And what else happened or was published before the turn of the millennium. And I keep asking myself ... did Chris Carter already know something specific (other than Roswell) or at least had a suspicion? Was he trying to tell us through the lens of art? Who inspired whom?

I'm just playing with thoughts here. None of this should be used as (counter)proof for anything. That's not the point. We're all friends here, right? However ... isn't that weird to see nearly three decades later?

Anyway. What do you think? What moments in a movie or tv show come to mind that—as crazy as they were—suddenly don't feel so incredibly absurd after all these years?
