Four days ago, airspace was closed at a site in the Leningrad Region (St. Petersburg) due to UAP. The signal "Ковёр" (carpet) was announced in the area, a fighter flew out to intercept the object.

According to "Baza" (credible telegram news channel in Russia), the "Carpet" signal was announced on the morning of February 13. Usually, air defense authorities give such a signal when illegally crossing the border or when a UAP appears. On the territory with a radius of 200 square kilometers at all altitudes in the area of the city of Lodeynoye Pole (small city near St. Petersburg), the airspace was closed, civilian aircraft were taken out of this zone (they had to change their trajectory). A fighter (MiG-31) flew to intercept the object.

What kind of object was spinning in the Lodeynoye Pole area is not exactly known. Perhaps the air defense reacted in this way to a drone that penetrated the airspace, but no incidents were reported in the area.
