Description

Amir Siraj (https://twitter.com/TheAmirSiraj) is a director of of interstellar object studies at The Galileo Project (https://projects.iq.harvard.edu/galileo/home). The model assumes the public information about the Lake Huron object is accurate and true, i.e. Kirby: “These objects were not being maneuvered... the likely hypothesis is, they were being moved by the prevailing winds.” Possible countries of origin include North Korea, Japan, Canada, and USA.

In another post (https://twitter.com/TheAmirSiraj/status/1625246779221639168?cxt=HHwWg…), Amir calculates that "if the detection of three unidentified objects in US airspace in a week resulted solely from an overall adjustment in radar sensitivity, then Poisson statistics suggest that we may have been missing 40 – 400 of these per year (90% CI)."
