Statement: I recently posted a pattern for a UFO built by my grandfather in the 1950s. He told me a story about a mysterious man who requested the pattern and then disappeared. (You can go look at my previous post). The story goes that he came back with the finished UFO and flew it for my grandfather to see. However, there was much skepticism of that story (understandable), and so I return with more evidence.

We combed through more of my grandfather’s patterns that I inherited and to our surprise found this pamphlet. It is from the man who requested the pattern! The mysterious man who then disappeared. He must have left it with my grandfather and it remains in brilliant condition. My grandfather kept everything. He was from the great depression generation.

So, it appears it may have actually been built in the 1960s, as the pamphlet states the idea arrived to the writer of the pamphlet in 1959. I was also struck by his saying he worked on radio towers. That is an interesting development as I believed he worked on maybe electrical infrastructure.

It is also interesting that the picture on the pamphlet does not match the pattern. However, it looks like a layer on top of the original pattern was added. Also a spear-like protrusion from the top. An antenna? I don’t know.

I am also interested in the fact that this “John” stated that many were involved in his project. There could be others out there with more information…
