Take the picture of the Batman Balloon UAP/UFO. Lets figure out how far from them it would be, if it was a Batman balloon, and how fast they are going, so that we can figure out if they would have enough time to snap this picture with focus and everything.

The UFO blob on the picture is about the size of the buttons on the side of the pilot screen of the F-18f. Button on the side of the pilot screen is 3/8 of an inch tall, 9,525mm, more or less 1cm

Distance of 2nd pilot camera to button, is at best estimate 2m, since pilot 1 screen is bellow the first pillar, and second pilot pillar is in the view just barely.

Batman 33 inch balloon is ~84cm

Therefore, if it was a big batman balloon it would have to be 1/200 = 84/x <=> x=16800cm away. So if the BatBalloon is posing as a UFO would be ~168m away from the F18.

Lowest speed of F18 is 130 knts = 240 km/h = 66 m/s when it lands. However at higher altitude the lowest possible speed, the stall speed I suppose, is higher.

Typical cruise speed is 580 knots (http://krepelka.com/fsweb/learningcenter/aircraft/flightnotesboeingfa…) at high altitude. It can move as low as80 KCAS (https://fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/ac/docs/990414-ART-Super-Hornet.htm) though. By looking at the flight envelope (picture) we can see that at 30000 feet it can move as low as Mach 0.5, so 170 m/s F-18 Hornet speed.

So lets assume the pilots saw the balloon and wanted to take a picture and pass it as an UFO. They can move as low as 170 meters/s, and the damn thing is 168 meters away. A second after this picture the Batman Balloon would have passed them.

I conclude that its either a genuine UAP, or the pilots tried hard to snap a good picture, while doing turns to find it again every time they failed, at 30k feet. They would have less than 3 seconds to take the picture, in my estimation. We need the pilot testimony.
