Description

Thought I'd share the 2 accounts.

1. This was told through my mother.
Before she was born, my grandmother and grandfather saw a saucer in Sweden around 1940. It was in the winter at night, and they were walking on the glossy lake ice between islands. Suddenly they saw a saucer hovering passing a distance away over the ice. It was silver-looking and made a slight hum/buzz.
It flew a crescent around them before suddenly shooting away into the night sky, without and speed built-up. Like the acceleration was immediate.
This to me sounds like the stereotypical UFO sighting, but my grandmother wasn't the one to tell this story to people and was mostly a quiet and strong countryside woman.

2. I had a period where I was interested in astronomy during my teenage years.
I would go out at night and lay down on a hill, imagine I was in a movie, checking the stars. I never saw anything suspicious on that hill.
However, when i was casually checking stars from our patio, i saw something that looked like a satellite. It was too far to see with the naked eye, but I could make it out in binoculars like a tiny star.
I was traveling to my left and was going at a pace, then made a U, and then continued on the same path at a higher speed.
My mother thought it was my head shaking in the binoculars, but the surrounding stars were still.
See below drawing.
Seeing that, which I still can't explain, actually meant a lot.
