Description

Has Bob ever clarified how close the bus actually got to the S4 hangar?

The documentary makes the walk from the bus to the hangar seem fairly short, but plotting it on Google Earth puts the distance from the Papoose Lake bed to the commonly cited coordinates at ≈200–300+ yards.

Obviously, the bus wouldn’t have to stay ON the lake bed and could've gone "off-road," so the real question is terrain: how accessible is that area in terms of slope and elevation? Would a bus realistically be able to get close to the foothills, or would that distance still require a meaningful walk?

Curious if anyone has looked at the elevation profile there or seen Lazar address that more specifically.
