Time: 08/18/2025 23:05. Location: Stalida beach in Crete, Greece. This lightened orb, for lack of a better word, was suspended over the beach unmoving for about 5 minutes. Usually I try to identify lights, and this particular one drew my attention, thus I tried taking this picture at 30X magnification on a Samsung phone, while sitting at a restaurant. First I thought it was just some light in the middle of a little island, as Crete has many such places. However, that theory was scratched when minutes later, I happened to try and take another photo. The object suddenly moved leaving a seemingly trail of light behind, as you may see in the second picture.
I cross-referenced the Sky Live, and a couple of other apps on my phone, but it did not match any planers. Worth mentioning this happened about 3 times within a 2.5 hour period, with varying durations. I was only able to film the second instance.
