(Excuse the crappy picture but it's the best I could do in a limited amount of time.)

As I am sitting in a dark parking lot trying to find the moon, I see two relatively close, independent sets of fashing lights that are changing from red to a off white. Thinking it was two planes crossing over eachother I pull up flight tracker and to my surprise I see no transponding flights in the area. As I am trying to keep and eye on their path of travel, the one leading the way seems to stop, waits for the one that is behind it, and they continue in the same path next to eachother. I then spot three more with the same inconsistent red and off white flashing lights following the same path of travel but now they are spread apart following behind the first two about a minute away. I check flight tracker again and zero transponding planes in the area.

They were approximately 1000 to 2000 ft in the area, with a very inconsistent red and off white flashing light pattern, silent, and not showing up on flight tracker.
