Description

Ross Coulthard recently appeared on NewsNation discussing the 3I/Atlas “comet” and argued against sending the Juno probe to intercept it, suggesting resources shouldn’t be diverted for this purpose. However, he completely omits the fact that Juno is already at the end of its mission and scheduled for deorbit into Jupiter’s atmosphere next month. The idea of “diverting resources” is misleading—Juno was planned for destruction, so using it for a final flyby would make sense.

This kind of selective omission adds to the growing suspicion around Coulthard’s credibility and motives. Others have noticed too—*The Angry Astronaut* just released a video echoing these same concerns and breaking down why Coulthard’s comments are suspicious: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6O7nuJcmpY (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B6O7nuJcmpY)
