In 1973, near Caen, France, at around 11AM, a french helicopter pilot named Daniel Michau was flying in an Alouette II helicopter with his colleague when they were overtaken by an immense, silent object resembling a colossal dull grey airship, estimated at 200-300 meters long. There was no visible features like portholes, lights, or exhaust. Oddly he said his aircraft had zero instrument disruption like static or whistling.

To support his claims he says the French Air traffic control at Caen informed him they had tracked a high-speed, unidentified radar echo moving north to south at that very moment. Although it was brief, he says it was intensely vivid giving both him and his crew member enough time to get a clear view of the object's size.
