My Personal Experience with a Drone Sighting in Germany

A few days ago, I uploaded a video to Reddit showing what seemed to be a drone sighting in Geislingen, Germany. Surprisingly, this caught the attention of the media. Soon after, an article emerged claiming that drones have now been sighted in Southern Germany. The article, however, dismissively reassured readers that this was nothing out of the ordinary:

In my continued research, I’ve come across numerous other sightings—such as in Munich, Dresden, and Hamburg. (I can provide screenshots of these reports for reference.) This begs the question:

• Who is communicating with whom here?

• Why was my Reddit post used as a source for news coverage, while so many other sightings go unreported or ignored?

It feels as though there’s a significant gap in understanding—both in the media and among the general public. Even journalists seem to be uncertain about what’s happening, perhaps leading them to shy away from deeper investigations.

The Bigger Picture: A Call to Action

I believe it’s crucial to bring this phenomenon into broader public awareness. Many people in my personal network dismiss the topic entirely, simply because they’ve never considered it or been exposed to credible discussions about it. However, my small Reddit post demonstrates the ripple effect that a single action can have—it led to news coverage, even though this phenomenon is far from isolated.

This issue goes beyond isolated drone sightings; it highlights a broader problem of disinformation and public apathy. We need to:

1. Spread Awareness: Talk about the phenomenon openly to encourage discussion.

2. Challenge Misinformation: Push back against dismissive narratives that undermine the importance of these events.

3. Demand Transparency: Advocate for greater openness from authorities and the media regarding such sightings.

It’s time to take this seriously. Everyone deserves to know about what’s happening—both in Germany and globally. Together, we can break through the silence and work toward greater understanding.
