Flying north to south. I've seen 15-20 in the last week or two in northern california. Same exact ones I've seen in pics from NJ, I've also been seeing for 2 weeks. [edit] The ones I've seen up close in the moonlight look like a fighter jet style frame, but too small, with wings too short to glide slowly. They're completely silent, even when they fly 100 ft over your house :)
