Library and Archives Canada: UFO files
🏛️ Library and Archives Canada
A digitized collection of Canadian government records on UFO sightings, gathered from National Defence, Transport Canada, the National Research Council and the RCMP.
Key points
- About 9,500 pages were scanned and put online.
- Includes the National Research Council’s files of “non-meteoric” sightings, and police reports.
- Canada’s best-known official case, Shag Harbour in Nova Scotia (1967), turns up in these records.
Why it matters
It gives a non-U.S. view of the same decades of sightings, with police and civil aviation reports.

The summary above is ours, written in plain English. Always check the original: the official files on this page go straight to the source, and each one has a backup copy saved by the Internet Archive in case the government page moves.
