A month ago u/MagicalJohnson posted here seeking former "Gifted Children" program members who had also seen UFOs. I suggested posting to r/mensa, but noted a quick look found no active Mensa UFO interest groups.

I never took theories of secretive government programs exploiting such kids very seriously. Then a couple days ago I received an unsolicited email invitation to check out American Mensa membership with the attached UFO themed graphic and a title seemingly based on Jacques Vallée's book "Passport to Magonia".

Have to wonder, why are they recruiting members using that theme when it is still a turn-off for many scientists? They probably know their potential members better than I, so makes me wonder what the nexus is. Are people who were likely in the "Gifted" programs as children really more likely to have seen UFOs?
