As The Senate considers The Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Act of 2024, a government Intelligence Analyst is going public on UAP.

The UAP Task Force was established in 2020 as part of a broader U.S. government effort to address growing public and official concern about UAPs. In 2021, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) released a preliminary report on UAPs, which acknowledged the existence of unidentified aerial phenomena and highlighted the need for further investigation.

In 2022, the UAP Task Force was replaced by the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO), which has a broader mandate to investigate anomalies in all domains (air, sea, land, and space).
