I'll update with key points at the bottom as we learn more.
Background on this study per NASA:
On June 9, 2022, NASA announced that the agency was commissioning a study team to examine unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs) – that is, observations of events in the sky that cannot be identified as aircraft or known natural phenomena – from a scientific perspective. The study focuses on identifying available data, how best to collect future data, and how NASA can use that data to move the scientific understanding of UAPs forward.
