I recently read Jacques Vallée’s 1969 book “Passport to Magonia”. In my opinion, Jacques views / theories on the phenomenon are extremely thought provoking and far ahead of its time. He explores links between UFO sightings and folklore. Essentially he theorizes that the phenomenon appears to us in plane sight as almost an illusion, something we can understand in the time line we live in suggesting that the phenomena adapt their appearance to fit the cultural and technological context of the observer.
