Description

Hello! I read a lot about sightings from USA and the UK. Well, here is a short one from Norway.

In 2006, when I was 13 years old, I witnessed a silvery, circular UFO in Norway while my grandfather and I were out fishing on his old, small rowboat.

It was a clear day with blue skies. I remember that we didn't catch any fish that day, and after two hours of no catch, I grew quite irritated. I decided to lie down on my back and watch the sky while my grandfather continued fishing. After a short while, I saw something that seemed to reflect sunlight. It was a silvery, metallic circle, just hovering in mid-air. I nudged my grandfather's shorts and told him to look. "Næmmen!" he said, which in Norwegian sort of translates to "Would you look at that!" My eyes were locked onto that silvery object for at least 5 minutes before it started slowly hovering to one side. Then I remember yelling back at my grandfather. It continued hovering until it became stationary again. At that point, I was somewhat afraid, so my grandfather began rowing us back to our dock. The object began moving again, this time at a faster pace, until it whizzed behind the mountain. The object didnt make any noise or anything during all of this. We never saw it again.

To this day, we still don't know what that was. My grandfather (who is still alive and kicking) does not at all believe it was anything that can't be easily explained, but regardless, he still speaks about it to this day and can't understand what it could have been that we saw that afternoon.

I have scoured the internet hoping to read about similar sightings, and thankfully, I have come across some interesting and similar stories here.

I have attached location of sighting and a concept picture of what the UFO looked like to us.
