Description

Caught a neat sight while stargazing around 10:15pm (September 4). Cell phone footage of a object burning in the atmosphere. The cell phone couldn’t capture it very well, but it was bright red with a wide white tail. The object appeared to have burned up and disappeared pretty quickly after streaming across the sky. As you can see, it was moving fairly slow compared to other shooting stars.

Any ideas of what this could be? Maybe a piece of satellite entering the atmosphere? It appeared to be on an orbital trajectory.
