Description
I saw another post saying the multiple orbs in this photo were birds, but I wanted to explain why this is not likely. This image is most likely a Kilo class sub, which would put it at around 240 feet. Directly in front of it is one of the orbs in question. I did not edit the photo at all, but I put it in photoshop to get accurate measurements. The sub is almost 212 pixels and the orb is almost 4 pixels. Considering the size of the sub, that would make the body of the bird about 4 feet long.
The albatross can certainly have a 4-foot-long body, and given the right conditions, might be able to fly at these apparent speeds, but there are two reasons why this is not an albatross, or any other known bird. Using the same scales as above, at one point in the video, the orb traveled underwater around twice the distance of the ship, so around 500 feet, which an albatross cannot do, especially not while maintaining speed. Second, while an albatross can have a body that’s 4 feet long, that would mean its wingspan would be closer to 11-12 feet. There is no point in the entire video where the size of the orb perpendicular/vertical to the plane of travel exceeds that of the plane horizontal to its travel. However, for the majority of the video, even when the orbs are relatively motionless, the horizontal plane is slight larger than the vertical. So, even accounting for the lower resolution, the image can still discern some shape to the orbs.
All of this basically means that if it is a bird, it is some new, nearly human sized bird that somehow flies without wings. Or it’s technology we don’t understand. Either way, it’s a new discovery so that’s pretty cool.
