Description

A petition for a patent that Nikola Tesla wanted to get on for a "flying saucer" he designed in the opening years of the 20th century, long before Kenneth Arnold or the CIA or the Pentagon existed. It would use a highly charged capacitor for lift (that's right the "Biefeld-Brown Effect" long before they claimed it) and smaller capacitors for horizontal thrust. The craft is stabilized by an assortment of gyroscopes. The craft lands on inflated air bags to provide a soft landing. Interestingly, Nikola equips the hull of the craft with small cameras embedded in its surface.
