Description

Hi everyone — looking for help identifying something we observed tonight. Almost certainly something conventional, but wanted help determining what it might be

Location: Phuket, Thailand near Patong beach
Time: 1/3/2026 9:30 PM
Direction: Looking out over the ocean; objects moved consistently left to right
Altitude: Very low on the horizon

We observed multiple (about 6) identical bright objects over a ~20–30 minute period. Each object:
• Appeared as a single bright white/yellowish light
• Moved smoothly left to right at a steady speed
• Did not blink like typical aircraft navigation lights
• Did not appear on FlightRadar24
• Eventually faded/disappeared (either into haze/clouds or became too dim)

Important notes:
• We never saw them travel right → left
• They looked identical each time
• They were too fast and smooth to be boats
• Did not hover or maneuver like typical drones
• This did not look like a classic Starlink “train,” but multiple similar objects did pass sequentially

I’ve attached a video (and can add stills if helpful).

I think there is most likely a conventional explanations (probably satellites / Starlink variants) and would really appreciate input from anyone familiar with:
• Satellite passes in SE Asia
• Starlink visibility patterns at this latitude/time
