Two simultaneous events:

1. International Asteroid Warning Network (IAWN) adds 3I/ATLAS to planetary defense threat tracking list — the first time in history an interstellar object has been designated a planetary defense target. The announcement appears buried in Minor Planet Center bulletin MPEC 2025-U142 with no public NASA statement. IAWN notes the object displays an "anti-tail" (particles pointing toward the Sun instead of away, indicating reverse thrust capability).

2. Independent observers (including our team) document systematic position discrepancies between 3I/ATLAS’s observed location and JPL Horizons predictions. Angular offsets of 15.4 arcminutes. The distance measurement was perfect (same 2.38 AU), but the bearing was wrong. Same range, different direction. This violates standard orbital mechanics unless something provided lateral acceleration.

October 23, 2025:
Continued tracking shows the position discrepancy widening. The object is diverging from gravitational predictions at approximately 0.23 arcminutes per hour, requiring roughly 3.95 km/s of lateral velocity that gravity alone cannot explain. Brightness measurements show the object consistently 20-26% dimmer than JPL models predict, despite JWST confirmation that it's losing 25 kilograms of water per second—one of the most active "comets" ever observed.

October 25, 2025:
Direct telescope observations reveal 3I/ATLAS is "visible alongside the Sun" not hidden behind it. The widely reported narrative that the object would be "unobservable during perihelion" was false. Perihelion would occur "in full view" four days later.
