full analysis by NARCAP concluded that the digital photo was not altered https://www.nicap.org/reports/20100214_Photoanalyses_Andes.pdf
A family in the Andes during a picnic took the photos on 14th Feb 2010, they only realized the object when they were looking at the photos at home. The analysis of the photos estimated it to be 200ft in length.
