Brandon Fugal, the Utah businessman who owns Skinwalker Ranch, has said that conversations with senior figures convinced him that UAP are real and that efforts to reverse-engineer non-human technology are real. The testimony dates the remarks to October 2022.[1][2]
Fugal

Fugal is chairman of the Utah office of the real-estate firm Colliers International and a prominent developer in the Intermountain West. In 2016 his company Adamantium Real Estate bought the 512-acre Skinwalker Ranch in Utah's Uintah Basin from Robert Bigelow, reportedly for about $500,000; he revealed his ownership in March 2020. He describes himself as having been an "open-minded skeptic" who had never seen a UFO and who wanted to bring more scientific rigour to the property. Since 2020 he has appeared in the History series The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch, which follows investigations there by a team of scientists and security staff.[2][3]
His remarks

In a video interview with the New York Post's The Basement Office series, Fugal discussed his experiences at the ranch and his views on UFOs. According to the testimony, he said that retired Gen. Wesley Clark, physicist Hal Puthoff and former CIA physician Kit Green had helped convince him that the phenomenon was real and that reverse engineering of recovered technology was real. In other interviews he has said the evidence suggests "we are not alone in the universe", described film crew members refusing to return to the ranch, and recounted an incident in which he believes an intelligence left a message on a computer screen.[1][2][4]
The ranch
Skinwalker Ranch was bought in 1996 by Bigelow, whose National Institute for Discovery Science studied reported phenomena there; it was later a focus of the Pentagon-funded AAWSAP program. The television series has documented instrument anomalies and injuries, but critics such as Robert Sheaffer argue the phenomena are almost certainly illusory, and none of the claims made by the people Fugal names about reverse engineering has been confirmed.[3]
