Delbert C. Newhouse was a U.S. Navy chief photographer, with long experience in aerial photography, who on 2 July 1952 filmed unidentified objects near Tremonton, Utah, while driving with his family.

Newhouse shot about 75 seconds of 16mm colour film showing a group of bright objects moving across the sky. He said that when he first saw them they were closer and looked like two discs stacked together. Navy photo analysts studied the film for over a month and concluded the objects were not birds or aircraft, but the CIA's Robertson Panel suggested they were seagulls. Newhouse stood by his account. The film is one of the most debated early UFO films.
