Former colonel's underground facilities claim (1998) — A researcher says a former colonel claims he worked in underground facilities.

According to a researcher cited in Andrew Johnson's book Secret Space Programme, a man described as a former colonel claimed in June 1998 that he had worked in underground military facilities connected with secret technology programs.

The account belongs to the large body of underground-base claims that grew from the 1980s disinformation fed to Paul Bennewitz and from figures like Phil Schneider and Col. Steve Wilson. The source isn't named in a way that allows checking, and no documents support the claims.

Underground military facilities do exist, such as Cheyenne Mountain and Raven Rock, but there's no evidence linking them to non-human technology.
