Nancy Mace (born 1977) is a Republican member of the US House of Representatives from South Carolina, in office since 2021. As chair of the House Oversight subcommittee on cybersecurity, information technology and government innovation, she has led congressional hearings on UAP, including in July 2023 and November 2024, and has said she believes aliens have been interacting with humanity.[1]
The hearings

At the July 2023 House Oversight hearing, Mace questioned former intelligence officer David Grusch about his claims that the government had recovered non-human craft and biological remains.[1]
At a second hearing on 13 November 2024, she criticised the Pentagon's UAP office, AARO, as "unable, or perhaps unwilling" to reveal the truth about government UAP activities, and asked why the government kept the subject secret if there was nothing to it.[1] She raised the alleged "Immaculate Constellation" programme and entered a document about it into the record.[2] Two days later, after the Pentagon published its annual UAP report, she said its 21 unexplained encounters near national-security sites showed Congress was "not getting the full picture" and called for whistleblower protection and declassification.[3]
Views

Mace has said she believes space aliens have been interacting with humanity, citing the claims of Bob Lazar and Grusch. During the 2024 drone sightings in the north-eastern United States she said she would not rule out an origin in "outer space"; federal agencies later found nothing anomalous.[1]
