Ohio crash with survivor claim (1978) — An Air Force officer reportedly heard of a crash with two dead and one live occupant near Ohio.

According to an Air Force officer quoted by Leonard Stringfield, he had heard of a crash near Ohio in which two occupants were found dead and one alive. The officer didn't witness it himself, and no date or precise location was given.

Stories of a surviving occupant are a recurring theme in crash-retrieval lore, appearing in versions of the Roswell story and others. This account was published in Stringfield's 1978 MUFON paper and later status reports, with the officer's identity withheld. It's second-hand and unverified.
