On 19 May 1960, residents of Ekuk, a small fishing village in Alaska, reported a silver object hovering over the area, which they said lifted and dragged trash cans. Conrow and other Air Force personnel investigated, interviewing witnesses and writing a report that went to Project Blue Book. The case is an example of the Air Force's field investigations in remote areas, and it remains in Blue Book files as one of the unusual reports of that period.
