Thomas Jefferson DuBose (1902–1992) was a U.S. Air Force officer who in July 1947 was chief of staff of the Eighth Air Force in Fort Worth, Texas, serving under Gen. Roger Ramey. He later retired as a brigadier general.

DuBose appears in the famous photographs of the debris displayed to the press in Ramey's office on 8 July 1947. In interviews in 1990–91, and in an affidavit signed in 1991, he said the debris shown to reporters was a weather balloon substituted for the real material, which had been sent on to Wright Field, and that the balloon story was a cover. He said Maj. Gen. Clements McMullen in Washington had ordered the material sent and the matter kept quiet. Skeptics note that DuBose was in his late eighties and that his accounts varied.
