Navy reserve pilot's Wright-Patterson saucer claim (1962) — A Navy reserve pilot says he saw a saucer at Wright-Patterson in 1962.
"PJ" is one of Leonard Stringfield's anonymous informants, described as a Navy reserve test pilot. He reportedly said that in 1962 he was at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and wandered into a hangar where he saw a saucer-shaped craft, before being quickly escorted away.
The account appears in Stringfield's Status Report III (1982) and was republished online by Linda Moulton Howe in 2005. Like most of Stringfield's material, the witness isn't named and the story can't be checked against records. Wright-Patterson's reputation as the site of "Hangar 18", where alien craft were supposedly stored, was already well established by the 1960s, which makes such stories harder to evaluate.
