Chameleo — A man claims a Marine deserter told him about secret UAP material.

Writer Robert Guffey's 2015 book Chameleo: A Strange but True Story of Invisible Spies, Heroin Addiction, and Homeland Security tells the story of his friend Dion Fuller. In 2003, Fuller sheltered a Marine accused of stealing night-vision equipment from Camp Pendleton. Fuller said he was then interrogated by federal agents and followed by nearly invisible watchers, which Guffey links to a secret cloaking project he calls "Chameleo".

According to the testimony, the Marine told Fuller about secret UAP material. The book is presented as a true story, but it's a first-person account filtered through Guffey, and Fuller was a heroin user at the time, which the book acknowledges.

There's no official corroboration of the cloaking project or the UAP claims. The book is valued by some readers as a strange case study in surveillance and paranoia after 9/11.
