Puthoff protects a key source (2003) — Puthoff tells Vallée he is holding back details to protect a key insider source.
According to Jacques Vallée's journals, in October 2003 Hal Puthoff told him he wouldn't share everything he knew about the secret program he believed existed, because he needed to protect a key confidential source.
The episode illustrates how much of this history rests on unnamed sources. Puthoff, Kit Green and Eric Davis regularly described information from trusted insiders whose identities they kept private, which makes their claims impossible to check independently.
Puthoff has continued to speak publicly about UAP, including in the 2020s, saying he believes non-human craft have been recovered. He hasn't named his sources.
