Oechsler on Navy EMP experiments — Bob Oechsler links Navy EMP experiments to UAP recoveries.
Bob Oechsler, a former NASA mission specialist and UFO researcher known for his recorded 1989 conversation with Adm. Bobby Ray Inman, said in a 2014 interview that Navy electromagnetic pulse (EMP) experiments might be connected to UFO crash retrievals.
He linked this to the area around Gulf Breeze, Florida, where Ed Walters's 1987–88 UFO photographs caused a sensation. Walters's photos were widely disputed: in 1990 a model resembling the UFO was found in his former house, and a young man said he had helped fake some photos, though Walters denied this.
Oechsler gave no documentation for his claims about Navy experiments. The Gulf Breeze area is near Naval Air Station Pensacola and Eglin Air Force Base, which conduct extensive military testing.
