Insider on oversight without access (2021) — An anonymous insider tells a researcher that officials with oversight lack access to UAP information.
According to the testimony, in 2021 an anonymous insider told a researcher that officials with formal oversight responsibilities, such as members of Congress and senior defence officials, lacked access to UAP information. The source cited is a transcript compiled by a UFO researcher.
The claim echoes long-standing allegations, from the Wilson/Davis notes to Harry Reid's comments, that UAP programs are compartmented so that even senior overseers can't see them.
The insider wasn't named, and the claim can't be checked. In 2023, Congress passed measures requiring agencies to report UAP-related programs to it, partly in response to such concerns.
