Selman Graves was a U.S. Army Air Forces pilot who, according to accounts gathered by British author Timothy Good, said that in October 1947 he took part in or witnessed the recovery of a crashed craft near Paradise Valley, Arizona, north of Phoenix.
The claim

Graves reportedly said he saw a disc-shaped craft and two humanoid bodies being recovered by military personnel. The Paradise Valley story is one of several claimed 1947 crash retrievals, alongside Roswell and less-known incidents, and it appears in crash-retrieval catalogues compiled by researchers such as Leonard Stringfield and Ryan Wood. There is no documentary evidence for the event, and Graves's account has not been independently confirmed. It is mainly known through Good's books.
