Wolfgang Klemperer (1899–1965) was a German-born aeronautical engineer and gliding pioneer who moved to the United States, working for Goodyear on airships and later for Douglas Aircraft on missiles.
Unconventional propulsion study
In the mid-1950s, Klemperer was reportedly involved in a Douglas Aircraft study of advanced and unconventional propulsion ideas. A later claim on the Timeline, by an aerospace executive, says a group at Douglas looked into UAP-related questions from 1955. Such reports form part of the evidence researchers use to argue that aerospace companies took UFOs and gravity research seriously in that decade, though the documentation is limited.
